Farmers Market Nutrition Program and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program

The WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) provide WIC recipients and eligible seniors with resources in the form of fresh, nutritious, unprepared, locally grown fruits, vegetables, and herbs from approved farmers’ markets in Pennsylvania. The purpose of the FMNP and SFMNP is to increase the consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables with low-income seniors and WIC recipients, and to expand the awareness, use of and sales at farmers markets.

To learn more about these programs, please visit the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture’s FMNP/SFMNP page.

FMNP

Pennsylvania state’s Farmers Market Nutrition Program offers vouchers for WIC recipients who are pregnant or who have a child up to age 5. Eligible WIC recipients receive the FMNP vouchers during their quarterly WIC visit during the months of May – September. Learn more about qualifying for WIC.

To qualify for the program, individuals must be 60 or older and meet certain income guidelines. Proof of age and residency is required.
